Work With Your Trello Boards and Cards Through Your Muse
Through an AnythingMCP custom connector, your muse can work with your Trello boards in plain words: list boards and lists, read and search cards, create and update cards, add comments, and attach links.
What it does
Trello is a board tool for tracking work. A board holds lists, such as To Do, Doing, and Done, and each list holds cards for single tasks. Connected this way, the muse gets 13 tools. It can show the boards you belong to and open one board with its lists, cards, labels, and members. It can search across boards, cards, members, and organizations. For changes, it can create and update a card, add a comment, attach a link, and list the labels a board uses. One tool can delete a card for good, so treat that one with care.
How to use it
- Start an AnythingMCP account and add the Trello connector.
- In Trello, open the Power-Up admin page, create a Power-Up, and copy its API key. Below it, click Token, approve access, and copy the user token. Enter both only where the connector asks, never in a chat.
- In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the MCP server address AnythingMCP gives you. Sign in and approve.
- Start with reads: ask which boards you belong to, then ask for the cards in one list, and check the answer against Trello.
- Then ask it to create one test card in a list you name, and confirm it landed in the right place before you use it for real work.
What you need
- A Muse account that can add custom connectors
- An AnythingMCP account with the Trello connector added
- A Trello account, plus an API key and a user token from a Trello Power-Up
What to watch for
- Actions are recorded under the person whose token you used. A teammate who needs actions under their own name needs their own token.
- Card deletion is permanent. Ask the muse to show you the exact card first, and archive cards inside Trello when you want a way back.
- The tools do not build new boards or lists, so set the board structure up in Trello first.
- A similar card title can exist on several boards. Name the board and the list every time you ask for a change.
- This is a custom connector, and Meta does not review custom connectors. You can disconnect it in Settings at any time. The muse prepares, you decide.
