Work With Your Reddit Account Through Your Muse

Through a Composio custom connector, a muse can work with your Reddit account in plain words: post to a community, search posts, pull the comments on a post, and edit your own comments and self-posts.

What it does

Reddit has no built-in connector in the main list, so this route adds one. Composio is a service Muse can reach as a custom connector, and once Reddit is connected through it, the muse gets its Reddit tools. It can pull posts sorted by hot, new, or top, search across communities or inside one, and find communities by name. It can retrieve the comments on a post, check a community's rules and post flairs before you post, and look up a profile's details. On your own account it can create a text or link post, post a comment, and edit or delete your own comments and self-posts. If you connect more than one account, name the one to use, such as work or personal.

How to use it

1. Make a Composio account, open its Muse page, and copy your API key. The key starts with ck.
2. In a new chat, ask the muse to create a custom connector for the Composio server and open the secure credentials store. Paste the key there, never in the chat.
3. Back in the chat, ask the muse to connect Reddit. Follow the sign-in link, sign in, and approve the access. Check the connection shows as active in the dashboard.
4. Start with a read-only job, such as "retrieve the comments from my latest Reddit post," and check the result against Reddit.
5. Move to posting only after the reads look right. Name the community, ask for a rule and flair check first, and approve the exact post text before anything goes out.

What you need

• A muse account that can add custom connectors
• A free Composio account and its API key
• A Reddit account you sign in with yourself during setup

What to watch for

• Never paste the API key into a chat. If you do, treat it as exposed: make a new key in the Composio dashboard, delete the old one, and add the new key through the secure store.
• Deleting a post or comment on Reddit cannot be undone. Tell the muse to ask you before every delete.
• Each community sets its own posting rules, and breaking them can get a post removed or an account warned. The rule check comes before the post.
• The muse prepares, you decide. Posting under your name stays your call.
