Watch Your Kids' Team App for Schedule Changes

Verified 2026-10-16

Your muse can watch your kids' team app for practice time changes, new meets, and cancellations, and it only messages you when something important actually changes.

What it does

Team apps are where coaches post the schedule, and the schedule moves a lot. A practice gets pushed an hour, a meet gets added, a game gets called off for weather. If you do not open the app that day, you find out late.

A muse can check the team on a set schedule, compare what it sees with what was there before, and stay quiet when nothing changed. When a time moves, a new event appears, or an event is cancelled, it sends you one short note with the new detail. That silence by default is the point. You stop checking the app every morning, and the one change that matters still reaches you in time to plan rides, meals, and work around it.

How to use it

  1. Tell the muse which teams to watch, by name, and where the schedule lives. Name each child and team so the notes are clear.
  2. Say what counts as important: "Tell me about practice time changes, new meets, and cancellations. Ignore general chat and photo posts."
  3. Set the check time: "Check each morning by 7 and tell me only if something changed since yesterday."
  4. Say what silence means: "If nothing changed, send nothing." That rule keeps the watch useful instead of noisy.
  5. When a change note arrives, confirm the new plan once in the team app yourself before you rearrange rides or tell other family members.

What you need

  • The muse app, signed in
  • Access to the team app or team schedule for each team you want watched
  • A short list, in your own words, of what counts as an important change

What to watch for

A watch is only as good as the source it can see. If coaches post changes in a chat thread the muse cannot open, those changes will not be caught, so keep the main schedule page as the place of record. Check the watch once in a while by asking what it last saw. If a watch ever stops or goes quiet for a long stretch, ask it to confirm it is still running. The muse prepares, you decide: it flags the change, you make the family call.
