Use Your Muse in a Browser on a Windows or Linux Computer
You do not need an app to use a muse on a Windows or Linux computer. Open muse.ai in a browser, sign in with a Meta account, and you get the full agent, with the chat, the cloud browser, the connections, and the approval steps.
What it does
There is no Muse app for Windows yet, and none for Linux. Mac is the only computer with its own app today. That sounds like a block, and for most work it is not one. The browser version at muse.ai is the same agent: it can read connected email and calendars, do research, fill in forms, and book things, and it asks for approval before it sends or buys anything. What you give up is one layer only. The Mac app can, with your permission, work with files and programs on the computer. The browser version cannot reach into your PC, so a job that needs a file on your hard drive cannot start there.
How to use it
- Go to muse.ai in your usual browser and sign in with a Meta account. You do not need a Facebook profile; an account made with an email address or phone number is enough.
- Start with one small job, such as sorting this morning's email or comparing two prices, and watch how the approval step works.
- Connect only the services that job needs, such as Gmail or Google Calendar. You can add more later, one at a time.
- If a job needs a file from your computer, upload it into the chat instead of expecting the muse to find it on your drive.
What you need
- A computer with a current browser and an internet connection.
- A Meta account to sign in with.
- An account in a country where Muse is live. A higher plan raises your usage limit inside a supported country; it does not buy access from outside one.
What to watch for
- Never download a Muse installer from a search result or a file site. There is no installer for Windows or Linux. The real routes are muse.ai in a browser and the official app stores.
- There is no waitlist for a Windows app or for a new country, and no setting changes either one. A page collecting your email for early access is not Meta's page.
- Do not use a VPN to pretend to be in a supported country. Access is tied to your account as well as your location, and misrepresenting your region can create account problems.
