Turn Your Saved Posts Into a Recipe Book

Verified 2026-10-07

If you have years of recipe videos saved on Instagram and Facebook that you never look at again, a muse can pull them all out and turn them into a readable, searchable recipe book with ingredients, steps, and links back to each post.

What it does

Once connected to your Instagram and Facebook accounts, the muse can read through everything you have saved, find the recipe posts, and organize them into a clean list grouped by type. Each recipe gets its ingredients, its steps, and a link to the original post. The same trick works on saved restaurant posts: it can build you a searchable guide to places you want to try, organized by city.

How to use it

  1. Connect your Instagram and Facebook accounts in the muse app's settings.
  2. Say: "Go through everything I have saved and pull out the recipes. Organize them into a recipe book I can search, with ingredients, steps, and a link to each original post."
  3. Skim the result and tell it how you want things grouped, like by meal or by cuisine.
  4. Ask for the restaurant version the same way: "Do the same with the restaurant posts I have saved, and organize them by city."

What you need

  • A muse app account with your Instagram and Facebook connected
  • A history of saved posts, the longer the better

What to watch for

The muse can only see posts you have actually saved, so start tapping that bookmark button on things you care about. Videos with no written recipe in the caption may come back as just a link, since there is no text to pull. It reads what is written, not what plays on screen, so a video that never lists its ingredients stays a video with no ingredients. Save the finished collection somewhere you will actually find it, or it becomes another forgotten list.
