Turn Your Customer Reviews Into a Strengths Report

Verified 2026-10-10

Hundreds or thousands of customer reviews are too many for one person to read, but they are exactly what a muse is built for. Hand it your review history and it comes back with a clear report: what customers praise, what they complain about, where you have an edge, and what could hurt you.

What it does

Give your muse your whole review history and it reads all of it, then hands back a plain-English report: what customers praise most, what they complain about most, which products or services keep coming up for better or worse, and what reviewers say about competitors. In one documented case, a muse worked through about 87,000 website reviews and produced a full strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats analysis in minutes, the same job that would take a person months by hand.

How to use it

  1. Gather your reviews: export them from your review platform or your website, and put them in one file or folder.
  2. Tell your muse what you want from the report: strengths and weaknesses, the products mentioned most, the recurring complaints, anything reviewers say about competitors.
  3. Read the report top to bottom once. Check a few of its claims against the actual reviews to make sure it is reading them right.
  4. Turn the findings into a short to-do list: the one complaint to fix first, the one strength to put in your marketing, the product issue worth raising with your supplier.

What you need

  • Your reviews in one place: an export, a folder of files, or a list of pages your muse can read.
  • Enough reviews to be worth it. A handful of reviews you can read yourself; this pays off when there are hundreds or more.

What to watch for

A muse reads reviews fast but it does not know your business the way you do. Spot-check its summary against real reviews before you act on it, especially on anything that would cost money, like pulling a product or changing a supplier. Fake reviews and one-star vendettas can skew the results, so tell the muse to flag reviews that look like spam instead of real customer feedback. The report informs your decisions, it does not make them. Review exports contain customer names and words, so keep the file where you normally keep customer data and never post the raw export anywhere public.
