Take Control of the Browser When Your Muse Gets Stuck
Your muse works in a browser inside your chat that you can watch at any time, and when it gets stuck, you can take control of that browser, handle the hard step, and hand it back.
What it does
Most agent work runs fine until it reaches a step built to stop software: a sign-in page, a puzzle that checks you are a person, or a payment form you would rather fill in yourself. You step in instead. Open the browser view and you see exactly what the muse sees. Choose Take Control and the muse pauses completely. While you are driving, it cannot act at all. You type the password, solve the check, or enter the card number, and anything you type into a login goes into secure storage the muse can use later without reading it. When you hand control back, the muse picks the job up from that page and carries on. It works at checkout too: take over for the card entry, then let the muse finish the order.
How to use it
- While the muse is working on a web task, tap Open Browser in the chat to watch what it is doing.
- When it stalls, or before a step you want to do yourself, choose Take Control.
- Do the step yourself: sign in, pass the check, or enter the payment details.
- Hand control back and let the muse continue from the same page.
- If the job has gone wrong rather than just stuck, choose Stop the Task instead, and start again with a clearer instruction.
- Set your defaults in Settings, under Permissions, where the Web Access setting controls which browser actions must ask you first.
What you need
- A muse account with a web task running
- The login or card details for the step you are taking over, ready to type
- A minute of attention at the stuck step, since the muse waits while you drive
What to watch for
- Takeover is a pause, not a shared drive. Only one of you can act at a time, so finish your step fully before handing back.
- It is normal if handing an agent your browser sounds strange. Watching first, without taking over, is a good way to get comfortable.
- A site that blocks agents outright will still block the shared browser. Taking over fixes stalls at logins, checks, and forms, not a closed door.
- After a purchase step, read the confirmation the muse reports back and check the full order yourself.
