Sync Your Muse Task List with Apple Reminders

確認済み 2026-11-06

Your muse can keep its task list in step with Apple Reminders: text an item to your muse and it appears in Reminders within minutes, and tick an item off in Reminders and the change syncs back.

What it does

Apple Reminders has no direct connection to Muse, so this setup builds a small bridge. A short script lives on a Mac that stays on at home. It can read and write your Reminders lists, and a check runs every 15 minutes comparing the muse's list with Reminders and copying changes in both directions. The check runs on its own, without the muse awake, which keeps the cost close to nothing. Each Reminders list works as a category, so shopping and work items can land in different lists. Anything you dictate to Siri lands in an inbox list and gets picked up on the next check. Two rules keep it safe: the bridge never deletes anything, and it only messages you when something looks wrong.

How to use it

  1. Pick a Mac that stays on and signed in, with the same Reminders lists as your iPhone.
  2. Ask the muse to write the bridge script with you: read and write Reminders, compare both lists every 15 minutes, sync both ways, and never delete an item.
  3. Give the script permission to reach Reminders when the Mac asks, and read the permission screen before you approve it.
  4. Test with one harmless item. Text the muse to add it, then watch for it in Reminders on your phone.
  5. Test the other direction: add an item with Siri, tick one off in Reminders, and check both changes reach the muse's list.
  6. Only when both directions look right, start using it for real lists.

What you need

  • A Muse account, on the free plan or a paid one
  • An iPhone using Apple Reminders, signed in with the same account as the Mac
  • A Mac that stays on and online, such as an old laptop kept plugged in
  • WhatsApp or the Muse app, as your way to reach your muse

What to watch for

  • If the Mac sleeps or goes offline, the sync pauses. Items catch up on the next check once it is back, but nothing moves while it is off.
  • The never delete rule matters. A sync that can delete in both directions can wipe a list after one mistake, so keep that rule even if clearing old items takes a step by hand.
  • Start with one or two lists. It is normal if handing a machine your to-do list sounds strange at first; a small test shows exactly what moves.
