Sweep Years of Old Flights for Compensation You Never Claimed

Verified 2026-10-19

A muse can search years of flight emails in your inbox, find the trips that were delayed or cancelled, work out which ones qualify for airline compensation, and file those claims for you, with payments arriving later if a claim succeeds.

What it does

Most people claim compensation for a bad flight only when the trip is fresh. Older delays and cancellations sit forgotten in email, even though many routes carry a claim window measured in years. A muse can go through your past flight confirmations and change notices, build a list of disrupted trips, check each one against the compensation rules for its route, and prepare or file the claims that qualify. It keeps a record of what was filed, with which airline, and what to watch for next, so nothing depends on your memory.

How to use it

  1. Connect the inbox where your flight confirmations and schedule change emails live.
  2. Ask the muse to list your past delayed and cancelled flights, with dates, routes, and how long each delay was.
  3. Review the list and remove any trip you do not want claimed.
  4. Ask it to check each remaining trip against the compensation rules that apply to that route.
  5. Approve each claim before it is filed, and provide any identity or payment details yourself when a form asks for them.
  6. Save the claim references and let the muse watch your inbox for airline replies.

What you need

  • An inbox with your old flight confirmations still in it.
  • Patience: airlines can take weeks to answer a claim.
  • Your payment details, entered by you, for any compensation that is approved.
  • Time to review the trip list once. That review keeps wrong claims from being filed.

What to watch for

  • Not every delay qualifies. Weather, short delays, and some routes fall outside the rules, and a good sweep will tell you plainly which trips are not worth filing.
  • Claim windows differ by country and airline. Some old trips will already be too late, and no service can reopen those.
  • Never pay an upfront fee for this. The muse files with the airline directly; middleman claim sites that take a cut are optional, not required.
  • Keep the claim references. If an airline asks for more information months later, those references are how the claim is found again.
