Study for the Test a Little Every Day
If you have a test coming up and keep putting the studying off, your muse can check in with you at the same time every day, quiz you on the material, and keep track of what you keep getting wrong. One user had it follow up every afternoon to help her study for her driving test, and the daily nudge kept her going.
What it does
You tell the muse what test you are studying for and when it happens. From then on, it pings you on a schedule you choose, asks you practice questions, and remembers which ones you miss so it can drill you on those the next day. It is normal if having something check on you feels strange at first. You are still in charge: it prepares and quizzes, you decide when you are done for the day, and you can pause or stop the schedule any time.
How to use it
- Gather your study material, like the driver's handbook or the course notes.
- Tell the muse: "I have my driving test in three weeks. Check in with me every day at 4 PM, quiz me on the material, and keep track of what I keep missing."
- Answer the questions honestly when the check-in arrives. Wrong answers are the point.
- Once a week, ask: "Show me the topics I am worst at, and drill me on just those today."
What you need
- A muse app account
- Your study material, so the quizzes match the real test
What to watch for
Long-running scheduled tasks can stall quietly without telling you, so if a check-in does not arrive, look at your muse's task list before assuming you are off the hook. The quizzes are only as good as the material you gave it, so feed it the real handbook, not your memory of the handbook. And for anything with legal stakes, like a driving test or a licensing exam, treat the muse as a study buddy, not an authority. If it says something that sounds off, check the official source before you believe it.
