Store and Search a Long-Term Memory Through Mem0
Through a Composio custom connector, a muse can save notes and facts into a Mem0 memory store, find them again with a plain question, update or delete them, and export them as a file you keep.
What it does
Mem0 is a memory store built for AI tools. It holds single facts and notes, grouped by project, so they stay available outside any one chat. Connected through Composio, the muse can add a new memory from a conversation, such as the notes from a call you just finished. It can search the store by meaning, not just by exact words, so a question in plain language finds the note you saved months ago. It can pull up one memory, show its history, correct its text, or delete it and everything that matches a rule you set. It can also start an export of a whole project and hand you the result as a CSV file. For a team, it can create projects and add members with set roles.
How to use it
- Make a Composio account, open its Muse page, and copy your API key. The key starts with ck.
- In a new chat, ask the muse to create a custom connector for the Composio server and open the secure credentials store. Paste the key there, never in the chat.
- Back in the chat, ask the muse to connect Mem0. Follow the sign-in link and approve the access.
- Start with one save you can check, such as the notes from one call, then ask for them back by topic.
- Once a month, ask for an export of the project, and keep the file somewhere you control.
What you need
- A Muse account that can add custom connectors
- A free Composio account and its API key
- A Mem0 account
What to watch for
- A memory store outside the chat can feel strange at first. It is normal if that gives you pause. You stay in charge: ask the muse to list what is stored, and delete anything that should not be there.
- Deleting is permanent. Ask the muse to show the exact memories that match before it deletes a batch, and approve the list first.
- Keep private details out unless the store truly needs them. A short fact is usually enough for the search to find it later.
- Never paste the API key into a chat. If you do, treat it as exposed: make a new key, delete the old one, and add the new key through the secure store.
