Search Your Meeting Transcripts and Summarize Calls Through Fireflies
Through a Composio custom connector, a muse can search your Fireflies meeting transcripts by keyword, summarize your recent recorded calls, and transcribe a meeting audio file you upload.
What it does
Fireflies records and transcribes meetings, so a team ends up with a large pile of transcripts few people ever search. Connecting it through Composio gives the muse tools for that pile. It can search meeting titles and spoken content for a keyword, list transcripts that involve a named team, and summarize your last five recorded calls in one pass. It can review who took part and their attendance, pull out the topics a meeting covered, and retrieve past question-and-answer threads from those calls. It can also take a meeting audio file you upload and return a transcript. The work is reading what was already recorded, in the chat where you ask.
How to use it
- Make a Composio account, open its Muse page, and copy your API key. The key starts with ck.
- In a new chat, ask the muse to create a custom connector for the Composio server and open the secure credentials store. Paste the key there, never in the chat.
- Back in the chat, ask the muse to connect Fireflies. Follow the sign-in link, sign in, and approve the access. Check the connection shows as active in the dashboard.
- Start with a search you can check, such as finding every transcript that mentions a project name, and compare the results with Fireflies.
- Then ask for summaries, such as a short summary of your last five recorded calls, and read any summary against the transcript before you act on it.
What you need
- A Muse account that can add custom connectors
- A free Composio account and its API key
- A Fireflies account with recorded meetings in it
What to watch for
- Never paste the API key into a chat. If you do, treat it as exposed: make a new key in the Composio dashboard, delete the old one, and add the new key through the secure store.
- A summary is a shorter version, not the record. For anything that affects money, a deadline, or another person, read the transcript lines the summary came from.
- Transcripts only cover meetings Fireflies recorded. A call held outside it will not appear in a search, however you phrase the question.
- If you connect more than one Fireflies account, name the one to use, such as work or personal, in each request.
