Search Vinted for Secondhand Fashion Through Your Muse
Through an AnythingMCP custom connector, your muse can search Vinted, the secondhand fashion marketplace, in plain words, filtering by category, brand, size, condition, color, and price, with no Vinted account or key needed.
What it does
Vinted is a marketplace where people buy and sell secondhand clothing. The connector adds 3 tools and is search only. The muse can search current listings with words you give it, plus filters for category, brand, size, condition, color, and price range. It can open one listing and show its title, price, brand, size, condition, description, and photos. It can also list the filters that exist, with the codes the search needs, so a brand or size search uses the right code instead of a guess. Each search returns up to 96 items, and search works in other languages. There is no buying, selling, listing, or messaging tool here. To buy a piece, open its listing on Vinted and check out there.
How to use it
- Start an AnythingMCP account and add the Vinted connector. There are no credentials to enter.
- In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the MCP server address AnythingMCP gives you. Sign in and approve.
- Ask in plain words, for example for a wool coat in your size, in good condition, under a price you name.
- If a search comes back empty or too broad, ask the muse to check the filter list first, then search again with the right brand, size, or category.
- Open the listing you like on Vinted, check the photos, size, and condition yourself, and buy there if you decide to.
What you need
- A Muse account that can add custom connectors
- An AnythingMCP account with the Vinted connector added
- No Vinted account and no API key for searching
What to watch for
- Search is the whole job here. The muse prepares a short list, you decide, and the purchase happens on Vinted under your own account.
- Filters only work with the right codes. Let the muse look the codes up first instead of guessing a brand or size code, or the results will be wrong in a way that is hard to spot.
- The connector uses the Vinted website data with a short-lived session that refreshes on its own. If a search is stopped, wait about an hour before searching again.
- Secondhand means one of each. A listing can sell while you are reading about it, so check that it is still live on Vinted before you count on it.
