Search Travel, Shopping, News, and Prices Through Composio Search
Through a Composio custom connector, your muse can search in one place for flights, hotels, products, news, stock prices, events, and public filings, and read public web pages.
What it does
Composio Search is one toolkit with 21 tools, grouped by the kind of answer. For travel it can search flights with prices and schedules, hotels and rentals, and TripAdvisor recommendations. For shopping it can search Amazon and Walmart, and search products across stores with price filters and location settings. For news and the web it can search news, search the web, fetch the readable text of a public page, find similar links, and search images. For money and research it can read stock prices and company news, search SEC filings and scholarly papers, search events, and search maps. Ask in plain words and the muse picks the search that fits.
How to use it
- Open the Muse page in your Composio dashboard and copy your API key, which starts with ck_. Keep it out of the chat.
- Start a new Muse chat and ask the muse to create a custom connector for the Composio remote server and to open the secure credentials store so you can enter the key there.
- Paste the key in the secure store and add the connector. The muse should list the Composio tools once it connects.
- Back in the chat, ask the muse to connect to Composio Search, or give it a search task.
- Start with a check you can verify, such as the price of a stock you follow or hotels for dates you already priced.
- Name Composio Search in your request when it matters, so the muse uses this toolkit.
What you need
- A Muse account that can add custom connectors
- A Composio account and its API key for Muse
- No separate account for the search toolkit itself
What to watch for
- Search results are a starting point, not a booking or a purchase. Check the final price, dates, and terms on the seller or airline page before you pay.
- Prices, news, and market data change fast, so check again before a big decision.
- A page fetch reads public pages only, not pages behind a login or paywall.
- If you ever paste your API key into a chat by mistake, treat it as exposed: make a new key in the Composio dashboard, delete the old one, and add the new key in the secure store.
- The muse prepares the shortlist, you decide what to book or buy.
