Schedule Your Social Posts Through Buffer

Through an AnythingMCP custom connector, your muse can run your Buffer queue from a chat: check channels, draft and schedule posts, send one now, and save ideas.

What it does

The connector adds 14 tools, built around 9 core Buffer tools and extra tools that run Buffer queries directly. It reads the signed-in Buffer account and its organizations, and lists the social channels connected to each one, across services such as X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube. It lists posts by channel and status, then creates a post on one channel at a time: queued, scheduled, published right away, or saved as a draft. It can edit a post that has not gone out yet, delete a post, and send a queued post immediately. A separate pair of tools lists and saves ideas, content notes not yet tied to a channel or a time.

How to use it

1. Start an AnythingMCP account and add the Buffer connector.
2. Sign in to Buffer, open Settings, then API, and generate an API key on the Personal Access tab. Free accounts can hold one key, paid plans up to five.
3. Paste the key into the connector. Keep it out of chats, since the key acts as your full Buffer account.
4. In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the MCP server address AnythingMCP gives you. Sign in and approve.
5. Start with reads: ask which channels are connected and what is already queued this week.
6. Then have the muse draft one post and show it to you before it joins the queue.

What you need

• A Muse account that can add custom connectors
• An AnythingMCP account with the Buffer connector added
• A Buffer account with your social channels connected, and a Buffer API key

What to watch for

• The API key sees every organization and channel on the Buffer account, with no way to limit it to one brand. Connect only accounts you are comfortable sharing.
• One create call posts to one channel. The same message for three channels means three posts, each worth a quick read before it goes out.
• Publishing now is immediate and public. Scheduling and drafts are the safer defaults while you build trust in the flow.
• Deleting a post in Buffer cannot be undone from the connector, so check the post ID before you approve a delete.
• This is a custom connector, and Meta does not review custom connectors. You can disconnect it in Settings at any time. The muse prepares, you decide.
