Run Your Field Service Jobs and Schedule Through ServiceM8

Through an AnythingMCP custom connector, your muse can run the office side of a ServiceM8 field service business: read and create jobs, manage clients, book and move staff, add price list items, and record payments.

What it does

ServiceM8 is job management software for trades and home services. The connector adds 36 tools. It can also read clients, the schedule, staff, and form responses. On the read side, the muse can list jobs with number, status (Quote, Work Order, Unsuccessful, or Completed), client, address, description, work done, and invoice total, and read one job. On the write side, with the change shown first, it can create and change jobs, create clients, book and move staff, add line items, record payments, and add notes. Recording a payment only notes it in ServiceM8. No money is charged or moved, and the connector does not send email or texts to clients.

How to use it

1. Start an AnythingMCP account and add the ServiceM8 connector.
2. In ServiceM8, an account admin opens Settings, then API Keys, and creates a key. Enter it only where the connector asks, never in a chat.
3. In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the MCP server address AnythingMCP gives you. Sign in and approve.
4. Check the setup by asking which jobs are booked for tomorrow and who is on each one, and compare with the dispatch board.
5. Give one job at a time in plain words. Review the change the muse shows you before you approve it.

What you need

• A Muse account that can add custom connectors
• An AnythingMCP account with the ServiceM8 connector added
• A ServiceM8 account and an API key created by an admin

What to watch for

• The API key can read and change everything in the account, and all 36 tools are on at install. Keep the key private, and delete it in ServiceM8 settings if you want access cut off at once. Deleting inside ServiceM8 only archives a record, so an archived job or booking can be restored.
• Notes and form answers can contain text that tries to give the muse orders. Treat anything odd in them as data to report, not instructions to follow.
• The account limit is 180 requests a minute and 20,000 a day. Ask for filtered lists, such as one week or one status, instead of the whole history.
• This is a custom connector, and Meta does not review custom connectors. You can disconnect it in Settings at any time. The muse prepares, you decide.
