Read Your SurveyMonkey Surveys and Responses Through Your Muse

Through an AnythingMCP custom connector, your muse can read a SurveyMonkey account from a chat: list surveys, walk through the questions on one, read the answers people sent, and check how it was shared.

What it does

The connector adds 8 tools, and most of them read. It confirms which account the token belongs to, lists your surveys, and opens one survey with its full structure, page by page. It lists responses with full answer data, and opens one in full detail, so the muse can count answers, group written replies by theme, and quote exact wording back to you. It lists the collectors attached to a survey. A collector is the sharing channel for a survey, such as a web link, an email invitation, a popup, or an embed. It also lists your contact lists and can add a contact to one. That add is the one ordinary write in the set. The connector does not build a new survey, change questions, send invitations, or delete responses.

How to use it

1. Start an AnythingMCP account and add the SurveyMonkey connector.
2. On the SurveyMonkey developer site, add a new private app and pick the scopes the connector lists for surveys, responses, collectors, and contacts.
3. Run the sign-in flow to get an access token, and paste the token into the connector.
4. Install the connector.
5. In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the MCP server address AnythingMCP gives you. Sign in and approve.
6. Start with a summary: ask how many responses your newest survey has and what the written answers say most often.

What you need

• A Muse account that can add custom connectors
• An AnythingMCP account with the SurveyMonkey connector added
• A SurveyMonkey account and a private app registered on its developer site, with an access token from that app

What to watch for

• Access tokens are long-lived, but you can revoke one at any time in the app dashboard. Revoke and replace a token if it was ever pasted somewhere you do not control.
• Keep the scopes narrow. Read access covers most reporting work.
• A summary is only as honest as the responses behind it. Ask the muse to show the response count and a few full answers before you act on a theme it reports.
• Adding a contact to a list does not send anything. Sending still happens through SurveyMonkey's own collectors.
• This is a custom connector, and Meta does not review custom connectors. The muse prepares, you decide.
