Read and Send Work Messages Through Slack

確認済み 2026-10-31

Your muse can search and read your Slack workspace and, with your approval, send messages there, so work chat can be handled from your muse chat instead of by opening Slack.

What it does

Slack is the chat many workplaces use instead of email for day-to-day talk. Once it is connected, your muse can search messages, channels, and people, and read channels, threads, shared documents called canvases, profiles, member lists, and reactions. Ask it to find the thread where a decision was made, catch you up on a channel you missed, or pull together what one person said about a project. It can also act: send a message, schedule one for later, save one as a draft for you to review and send yourself inside Slack, add a reaction, open a new conversation, and create or update a canvas. Messages it sends go out under your own name, exactly as if you had typed them in Slack. By default, sends, scheduled messages, drafts, reactions, new conversations, and canvas changes ask for your approval first, with a preview of what will happen.

How to use it

  1. Connect Slack from the connect link your muse gives you. A workspace can connect only where the Muse Slack app is available in that workspace.
  2. Start with a read you can check: "Find the last thread about the delivery date and sum it up."
  3. Name the channel, person, or thread you mean before asking for anything to be sent.
  4. When a message matters, ask for a draft instead of a send, review it inside Slack, and send it yourself from there.
  5. Read back the channel or thread after a send to confirm the message landed where you meant it to.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • A Slack account and a workspace where the Muse Slack app is available
  • Permission in that workspace to read the channels you ask about

What to watch for

  • Everything posts under your name. There is no separate muse identity in Slack, so treat a send like sending it yourself.
  • Files shared in Slack cannot be read through this connection, and files cannot be uploaded through it. Ask for the text another way when a file is the point.
  • If a send seems to fail or times out, check the channel before trying again. Slack may already have posted it, and a blind retry can put the same message in twice.
  • Keep approvals on for sends. The muse prepares, you decide.
