Pull Your Workout Stats Into Your Own Sheet Without the Screenshots

Verified 2026-10-30

If your stats live in a fitness tracker and your plan lives in a spreadsheet, your muse can connect the two: it pulls each workout's numbers and writes them into your sheet, so you stop taking screenshots and typing figures.

What it does

Many people track training in a sheet they built, while the watch or band holds the real numbers. Moving those numbers across usually means screenshots, memory, and missed days. A muse can do the moving. It connects directly to a tracker service such as Whoop: when you say a workout is finished, it pulls that workout's stats on its own and puts them into the right row of your sheet. Strength work the tracker captures poorly can be added by telling the muse what you did in plain words (the exercise, sets, and weight), and it logs that alongside the pulled numbers. The sheet stays yours, in your layout. The muse keeps it current, without a second paid tracking app in the middle.

How to use it

  1. Build or open the sheet you want to keep, with a column for each number you care about, such as date, workout, strain, recovery, and sleep.
  2. Ask the muse to connect to your tracker service and show you what it can read before it writes anything.
  3. Show it the sheet and name the match: "When I finish a workout, put the stats in this sheet, one row per workout."
  4. After your next workout, tell the muse you are done and check the new row against the tracker app.
  5. For gym work the tracker misses, say the session in words, and confirm it logged correctly.

What you need

  • A fitness tracker account the muse can connect to, such as Whoop
  • A spreadsheet you control, such as a Google Sheet, with clear headings
  • Permission to read the tracker and write to the sheet

What to watch for

  • Check the first few rows line-by-line against the tracker app. A pulled number in the wrong column looks tidy and is still wrong, and the error repeats until you fix the rule.
  • A hard session can read low if the band was loose or the workout type tracks poorly, so tell the muse about those sessions in words rather than leaving a gap.
  • Start read-only and let it prove the pulls are accurate before you widen access. It is normal if handing a tracker account to an agent feels like a big step.
  • The muse keeps the log. You own the training calls.
