Publish Posts and Replies on Threads Through Your Muse
You can connect Threads to your muse and have it publish a post or a reply for you, with text, photos, video, or a carousel, after you approve the exact wording and media on a card.
What it does
One post goes out per approval, and there is no draft step, so what you approve is what publishes. A post can be text alone, up to 500 characters, or carry one to twenty media items in your order. One item publishes on its own, and two to twenty publish as one carousel. Photos can be JPEG, PNG, or static WebP files, and videos can be MP4 or MOV files, each at most 100 MB. Every video needs a cover image. You can add alt text of up to 1,024 characters for people who cannot see an item. A post can also be a reply to one exact post you have already read, and you choose who may reply back: everyone, accounts you follow, only the people mentioned, only the author you answered, or only your followers.
How to use it
- Link Threads through Meta Accounts Center in the muse app, and confirm which account is selected.
- Write the post yourself, or approve the exact text the muse drafts. Shorten anything over 500 characters first.
- Add media in order when you want it, with a cover for every video.
- For a reply, open the post you are answering first, and pick who may reply back.
- Read the approval card. It covers the account, the reply setting, the exact text, and every media item.
- Approve it, then open Threads and read the published post back.
What you need
- A muse account, with access in the US, Canada, Japan, or Singapore
- A Threads account linked through Meta Accounts Center
- Media files of at most 100 MB each, with a cover image for every video
- A fresh approval for every post
What to watch for
- Threads has a daily post limit. When you reach it, do not post again until the next day.
- Every post needs its own approval. Approving one never approves the next, and declining a card ends that post.
- If a carousel item fails partway through, the result can be unclear and later items stop. Do not resend single items or retry on your own. Check Threads first.
- It is normal if an agent posting in your name feels strange at first. Keep approvals on, and start with one post you wrote yourself.
