Plan the College Visits While You Are Out

Verified 2026-10-09

College visit planning usually starts as a car conversation and dies in a pile of bookmarks. A muse can take the school list straight from that conversation, find each school's booking windows, and hand you one shareable document for the whole family.

What it does

Tell your muse the schools you are considering and it finds the visit-booking windows for each one, then compiles everything into a single document you can share. One couple chatted about college tours on the way to get food, handed the school list to the muse, and got back a ready-to-share plan covering every school's booking windows.

How to use it

  1. Tell your muse the schools: "We are visiting these four colleges. Find the booking windows for tours."
  2. Ask it to put everything into one document: dates, booking links, and any visit-day notes.
  3. Share the document with the family so everyone sees the same plan.
  4. When dates are set, have the muse book the tours or hand you the links to finish it.

What you need

  • The list of schools. The muse can also help you build it if you are still deciding.
  • Nothing else to start: the research and the document come from the muse.

What to watch for

Tour schedules change, so treat the document as a starting point and confirm the booking window on the school's site before you travel. The booking itself may need your approval or your payment, and the muse will stop and ask. If your student has strong opinions, the plan is the muse's suggestion, not the decision: pick the visits together.
