Organize Any Mailbox and Save Draft Replies Through Your Muse

Through an AnythingMCP custom connector, your muse can search and read almost any mailbox, flag and move messages, open attachments, and save replies as drafts for you to review and send yourself.

What it does

This connection works over IMAP and SMTP, the standard ways mail apps read and send mail, so it fits providers Muse does not list by name, including IONOS, Fastmail, Gmail with an app password, Yahoo, and iCloud. Connected this way, the muse gets 10 tools. It can list folders with message and unread counts, search one folder by sender, subject, text, or dates, and read a message with its attachments. Reading does not mark it as read. It can mark mail as read or unread, flag it, and move it to another folder. Its normal way to answer is to save a reply in Drafts for you to check and send yourself. Two tools are switched off at install: sending a message and moving messages to Trash.

How to use it

1. Find your provider's IMAP and SMTP server names and ports from its help pages. If it uses two-step sign-in, make an app password instead of using your normal password.
2. Start an AnythingMCP account, add the Email (IMAP/SMTP) connector, and enter the server names, address, and password only where the connector asks, never in a chat.
3. In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the MCP server address AnythingMCP gives you. Sign in and approve.
4. Check first: ask the muse to list your folders and compare the counts with your mail app.
5. Give it one clear job, such as moving last month's newsletters to Archive, or saving a draft reply in Drafts.

What you need

• A Muse account that can add custom connectors
• An AnythingMCP account with the Email (IMAP/SMTP) connector added
• A mailbox with IMAP access, its server names and ports, and a mailbox password or app password

What to watch for

• This does not work for Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com, which no longer accept password sign-in for IMAP and SMTP.
• On AnythingMCP Cloud, sending does not work for most providers because outgoing ports are blocked there. Reading, moving, and drafts work normally.
• A search returns at most 100 messages, and attachments above 4 MB are refused.
• Keep sending and deleting switched off until you need them. A sent message cannot be recalled.
• This is a custom connector, and Meta does not review custom connectors. You can disconnect it in Settings at any time.
