Manage Your YouTube Channel Through Your Muse
Through a Composio custom connector, a muse can run the routine work of a YouTube channel in plain words: check channel numbers, organize playlists, handle comments and captions, set thumbnails, and upload videos.
What it does
YouTube is where creators post videos and build a channel of subscribers. Connected through Composio, the muse works with your channel through 59 tools. It can report the basics on request: your subscriber count, total views, video count, and your latest uploads. It can search YouTube and list what is popular by region or category. For the catalog, it can create playlists, add or remove videos, and update playlist titles, descriptions, and privacy settings. For conversation, it can list comments, post a comment, reply to a viewer, and set the moderation status of comments you flag. For polish, it can list and upload caption tracks, set a custom thumbnail from an image link, and update a video title, description, or tags, and upload a finished video file.
How to use it
- Make a Composio account, open its Muse page, and copy your API key. The key starts with ck.
- In a new chat, ask the muse to create a custom connector for the Composio server and open the secure credentials store. Paste the key there, never in the chat.
- Back in the chat, ask the muse to connect YouTube, and sign in to your channel when it prompts you.
- Start with reads: ask for your subscriber count and your five most recent uploads, and check both against the channel page yourself.
- Give it one routine job at a time, such as a weekly playlist cleanup, and review the first runs.
What you need
- A Muse account that can add custom connectors
- A free Composio account and its API key
- A YouTube channel signed in with your own account
What to watch for
- The tool set includes actions that cannot be undone, such as deleting a video or playlist. Keep deletions as your own job, or ask to see the exact item first and approve it by name.
- A comment posted through the muse is public at once, in your channel name. Draft replies for anything sensitive and post those yourself.
- If you run more than one channel, name the channel in every request, so a job never lands on the wrong one.
- Never paste the API key into a chat. If you do, treat it as exposed: make a new one, delete the old one, and add the new one through the secure store.
