Manage Your Website Content Through Contentful

Through an AnythingMCP custom connector, your muse can work with the content behind your website or app in Contentful: find pages and images and draft edits when you say so.

What it does

The connector adds 20 tools, split on purpose into reads and writes. With a delivery token it searches published entries and assets, reads one in full, and lists content types, languages, and tags, so you can ask which posts went live this month. With a separate management token it can also see drafts, create a draft entry, change one field or replace an entry's fields, create tags, and publish or unpublish an entry. Publishing changes what visitors see, so the muse names the entry and the effect and waits for your yes. Deleting an entry starts switched off, because a deleted entry cannot be restored. The connector does not upload images, change content types, or manage settings.

How to use it

1. Start an AnythingMCP account and add the Contentful connector.
2. In Contentful, open your space, then Settings, then API keys, and add a key. Copy the Space ID and the delivery token into the connector, with the environment, usually master.
3. For edits, create a personal access token under Account settings, then CMA tokens, and paste it into the management token field. It is shown once.
4. In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the MCP server address AnythingMCP gives you. Sign in and approve.
5. Start with reads only: check the space name and list recent posts.
6. For a first edit, have it draft one headline change, read it back, and publish only after you approve.

• A Muse account that can add custom connectors
• An AnythingMCP account with the Contentful connector added
• A Contentful space, a delivery token for reads, and a management token only if you want edits

What to watch for

• Two tokens is a safety feature. Set up delivery only and the muse can look everything up while changing nothing.
• The management token acts as you in every space you can edit. Keep it out of chats; your organization may need an admin to approve it first.
• A full entry update replaces every field, so anything left out is lost. For small fixes, change single fields instead.
• Published changes reach your live site. Check the exact wording before you approve a publish.
• This is a custom connector, and Meta does not review custom connectors. You can disconnect it in Settings at any time. The muse prepares, you decide.
