Manage Your Shopify Store From Your Muse Chat

If you run a Shopify store, you can connect it to your muse and handle everyday store work from a plain chat: adding products, building collections, setting stock counts, creating discount codes, and checking orders and sales.

What it does

The connector links one store you own to your muse. With write access approved, the muse can create a product with a title, description, price, variants, and inventory tracking, and update its wording, status, images, and prices. It can group products into collections, set stock quantities at a specific location, and create percentage-off discount codes with a start date and rules for who can use them. Orders, customers, and sales figures are read-only: ask for recent orders, one order's tracking, your top customers, or total sales for the last 30 days by product. Some jobs are blocked by design. The connector cannot issue refunds, cancel orders, process returns, create gift cards, edit your live theme, or change your plan, payments, taxes, or domains.

How to use it

1. Open your muse and ask it to connect Shopify. You will be sent to Shopify to sign in, choose your store, and approve access.
2. Start read-only. Ask for your ten most recent orders or your best sellers this month, and check the answers against your admin.
3. Try one small write job, such as adding one product, then open it in the admin and read it in full.
4. Add collections and stock updates next. Name the products or the rule for a collection, and check each count first.
5. Create discount codes one at a time, confirming the start date and who can use each code.

What you need

• A muse account
• A Shopify store you own, or a new store started during the connection flow
• Admin access to the store
• Standard Shopify plan pricing applies, with no extra Shopify fee for the connector

What to watch for

• Start with read-only access and grant write access only once you have seen how the muse handles your catalog. Your staff permissions set the ceiling for what it can do.
• A new collection is published to your online store as soon as it is created, so review collections right away.
• Big batches run one item at a time and can stop partway. Check the result in the admin and finish anything left over there.
• The connector works with one store at a time and not through WhatsApp. Switching stores means a fresh approval.
• Check prices and product wording yourself before a new listing starts selling.
