Manage Your Plane Projects and Issues Through Your Muse
Through an AnythingMCP custom connector, your muse can read your Plane workspaces and projects, list and open issues, and create or update issues in plain words.
What it does
Plane is an open source project management tool. A workspace holds projects, a project holds issues, and cycles group issues into sprints while modules group them by feature. Connected this way, the muse gets 10 tools. It can list the workspaces your key can reach and the projects inside one, and open one project for its details. It can list the issues in a project and open one issue with its full description and custom properties. It can list the states a project uses for issue status, and list its cycles and modules. For changes, it can create a new issue and update an existing one.
How to use it
- Start an AnythingMCP account and add the Plane connector.
- In Plane, open your profile menu, then API Tokens, and create a new token. Note your workspace slug, the part of the address before the project name. Enter the token only where the connector asks, never in a chat.
- In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the MCP server address AnythingMCP gives you. Sign in and approve.
- Start with reads: ask for the projects in one workspace, then the open issues in one project, and check the answer in Plane.
- Then ask it to create one test issue with a title and description you give it, and confirm it landed in the right project before you use it for real work.
What you need
- A Muse account that can add custom connectors
- An AnythingMCP account with the Plane connector added
- A Plane account, cloud or self-hosted, plus an API token for it
What to watch for
- The tool set is narrow on purpose. It lists cycles, modules, and states, but it cannot create them, and it has no delete tool for issues.
- An update changes the live issue at once. Name the project and the issue clearly, since similar titles in different projects are easy to mix up.
- The API token reaches every workspace that token can access. Make a token for this use instead of reusing another one.
- For a self-hosted Plane, the address must be a public HTTPS address. Muse connects from the cloud, so a local address does not work.
- This is a custom connector, and Meta does not review custom connectors. You can disconnect it in Settings at any time.
