Manage Your Mailchimp Audiences and Campaigns Through Your Muse

Verified 2026-11-07

Through an AnythingMCP custom connector, your muse can work in a Mailchimp account from a chat: check your audiences, tidy members and tags, and prepare campaigns without sending them on its own.

What it does

The connector adds 16 tools. It reads account information such as the plan and total subscribers, and lists your audiences with a full read of any one audience. It lists members with filters for status or subscription date, opens one member, adds or updates a member, and adds or removes tags. It lists saved segments and templates. For campaigns it lists past and draft campaigns with filters, opens one in full, and creates a new campaign as a draft that does not send. A separate send tool delivers a campaign you created earlier, so a draft and a send stay two different steps. One tool permanently deletes a member, and Mailchimp keeps a record of that deletion so the person cannot be added back later.

How to use it

  1. Start an AnythingMCP account and add the Mailchimp connector.
  2. In Mailchimp, create an API key and note the letters and numbers after the dash at the end. That ending names your datacenter, such as us6.
  3. Paste the API key and the datacenter into the connector and install it.
  4. In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the MCP server address AnythingMCP gives you. Sign in and approve.
  5. Start with reads: ask how many subscribers each audience has and which campaigns went out last month.
  6. Have the muse create one draft campaign, then review it in Mailchimp before anyone sends it.

What you need

  • A Muse account that can add custom connectors
  • An AnythingMCP account with the Mailchimp connector added
  • A Mailchimp account and an API key from that account

What to watch for

  • If the datacenter is wrong, the connection fails with a not found error. The datacenter must match the ending of your API key.
  • Permanent member deletion cannot be undone, and the person cannot be re-added. Use unsubscribe or archive paths for ordinary list cleaning, and save permanent deletion for a direct request.
  • Creating a campaign does not send it. Sending is a separate tool, so check the draft, the audience, and the subject line yourself before you approve a send.
  • Only add people who agreed to hear from you. A tool that adds members fast makes permission mistakes fast too.
  • This is a custom connector, and Meta does not review custom connectors. The muse prepares, you decide.
