Manage Your Acuity Appointments Through Your Muse
Through an AnythingMCP custom connector, your muse can check your Acuity Scheduling bookings, find open times, and book, move, or cancel appointments in plain words.
What it does
Acuity Scheduling is a booking service, owned by Squarespace, that many small businesses use for appointments. Connected this way, the muse gets 12 tools for that account. It can list your appointment types and your calendars, which are the staff or rooms people book with. It can list the dates in a month that have open slots for a type, and the exact times open on one date. It can list appointments with filters, and open one appointment to see the client, the intake forms, and the payment details. It can list the clients who have booked and the intake forms on the account. For changes, it can book a new appointment, move one to a new time or calendar, and cancel one.
How to use it
- Start an AnythingMCP account, add the Acuity Scheduling connector, and follow its steps.
- In Acuity, open Integrations and then API, and note your User ID and API key. Enter both only where the connector asks for them, never in a chat.
- In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the MCP server address AnythingMCP gives you. Sign in and approve access.
- Start with reads: ask which times are open next Tuesday for one appointment type, and check the answer in Acuity.
- Then ask it to book one test appointment for a time you pick, and confirm the booking before it sends anything to a real client.
What you need
- A Muse account that can add custom connectors
- An AnythingMCP account with the Acuity Scheduling connector added
- An Acuity Scheduling account, plus its User ID and API key
What to watch for
- Booking, moving, and canceling change a live calendar at once. The muse prepares the change, you decide, and you should approve the exact client, type, and time first.
- An open slot depends on the appointment type and the calendar together. Name both when you ask, or the open times may be for the wrong person or room.
- This is a custom connector, and Meta does not review custom connectors. Muse sees only the tools you switched on, and you can disconnect it in Settings at any time.
- Never paste the API key into a chat. If you do, treat it as exposed: make a new key in Acuity, delete the old one, and update the connector.
