Manage People, Companies, and Deals Through Attio
Through an AnythingMCP custom connector, your muse can work in an Attio customer list: find people, companies, and deals with filters, read one record, add and update records, sort records into lists, and read and add notes.
What it does
The connector adds 12 tools for the records, lists, and notes in one Attio workspace. Attio starts with people, companies, and deals, and a workspace can add its own custom record types, which the connector lists with their fields. For reading, query records on any type with filters and sorting, open one record, list the workspace's lists and the notes on a record. For writing, create a record, update only the fields you name, add a record to a list, and add a note. One tool adds a record or updates the matching one, matching on a field that must be unique, such as an email address.
How to use it
- Start an AnythingMCP account and add the Attio connector.
- Sign in to Attio, open API and access from your account menu, and create an access token.
- Pick the scopes the connector needs, covering reading record setup, reading and writing records, reading list setup, and reading and writing notes.
- Copy the token into the connector.
- In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the MCP server address AnythingMCP gives you. Sign in and approve.
- Start with a read. Ask for the record types in the workspace and a filtered list, and check both against Attio before you ask for a new record.
What you need
- A Muse account that can add custom connectors
- An AnythingMCP account with the Attio connector added
- An Attio workspace, with an access token that has the record and note scopes
What to watch for
- The token opens your customer records. Keep it out of chats, give it only the scopes the connector needs, and make a new token if you stop using the connector.
- Updating a record changes only the fields named in the request, but a wrong name or filter can still land on the wrong person. Have the muse show you the record it found before it writes.
- The add-or-update tool matches on one unique field. If two records share that value, or it is typed differently, it can create a duplicate instead. Check new records in Attio after the first few runs.
- This is a custom connector, and Meta does not review custom connectors. You can disconnect it in Settings at any time. The muse prepares, you decide.
