Log Your Workouts Without the Screenshots

Verified 2026-10-12

If you wear a fitness tracker, a muse can connect to the tracker's data feed, pull each workout's stats into your own training log or spreadsheet when you say you finished, and record the strength work you describe in plain words, so the log keeps itself.

What it does

Many people feed a training spreadsheet by hand: finish a workout, open the tracker app, take screenshots, type the numbers across. It works until a busy week kills the habit, and the log has holes forever.

A muse can take over the copying. With the tracker's data connection in place, you just say you finished a workout. The muse pulls the recorded stats, such as duration, heart rate, and strain scores, straight into the right rows of your log. Work the tracker cannot see, you report in a sentence: tell the muse the lifts and weights you did, and it adds those too. In a verified case, a muse connected directly to a popular tracker's data feed and moved each workout's stats into a training spreadsheet on request.

This is record keeping, not a plan that tells you what to do: your history stays complete without the nightly typing.

How to use it

  1. Keep your log where the muse can write to it, such as a shared spreadsheet.
  2. Say: "Connect to my tracker and, when I tell you I finished a workout, pull its stats into my log."
  3. Approve the connection in the tracker's own prompt, and do one test workout to check the numbers land in the right place.
  4. After each session, send one short message: "Done," plus anything the tracker missed, such as "5 sets of 5 squats at 80 kilos."
  5. Once a week, skim the log and fix anything that landed wrong while you still remember the session.

What you need

  • A fitness tracker with an account and a data connection the muse can use
  • A training log or spreadsheet the muse can write to
  • A short message from you after each workout to trigger the pull

What to watch for

The pull only knows what the tracker recorded. A session done with the tracker off, flat, or left at home will be missing until you report it yourself. Check the first few entries against the tracker app: a stat in the wrong column is easy to fix on day one and confusing a month later. Health data is personal, so connect only the tracker and the log this job needs, and disconnect the feed if you stop using it.
