Let Your Muse Find and Buy the Halloween Costume

Verified 2026-10-29

You can give your muse a child's size and what the child loves, and it will find a Halloween costume that fits both, buy it at a store that works with it, and arrange same-day pickup while you keep working.

What it does

Costume shopping usually means a crowded store, a picked-over rack, and a guess about size. The muse does the searching instead. Tell it the size and the interest, such as a love of Disney, and it looks through a store like Target, picks an outfit that matches, and shows it to you. Once you approve, it works through the store site in the background, pays with your connected payment, and sets up same-day in-store pickup. You may still need to enter an emailed code and your card security digits, and that pause is part of the control, not a failure.

How to use it

  1. Connect the store account and payment method you want used, and keep purchase approvals on.
  2. Give two facts only to start: the child's size and what the child loves.
  3. Read the pick it brings back. Check the size, the full price, and what pieces are included.
  4. Approve the purchase yourself. Enter any code or card digits it asks for.
  5. Pick the costume up in store, and keep the receipt until after Halloween in case the size is wrong.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • An account at a store the muse can shop, such as Target
  • A connected payment method
  • The child's size, checked against a recent outfit that fits

What to watch for

  • A costume found fast is still worth a slow look. Sizes run small on many costumes, so check the size chart, not just the age on the packet.
  • Same-day pickup depends on local stock. A costume shown online can sell out at your store before you arrive, so go the same day.
  • The muse chooses from what a store sells. If the exact character is out of stock, it will pick the closest match, so say what is not acceptable before you approve.
  • It is normal if handing a costume choice to a program feels like a lot. You see the pick and the price before any money moves, and you can always shop in person instead. The muse finds and buys, you decide.
