Keep Your Published Pages Current With a Monthly Fact Check

Verified 2026-10-23

Prices change, hours change, products get renamed, and the page you published last year keeps stating the old facts with full confidence. A muse can check your published pages monthly, watch the facts that age, and flag every line that no longer matches, so you update the page before a reader catches the error.

What it does

Most pages do not go wrong all at once. One price moves, one date passes, one service changes its name, and the page quietly turns stale. Checking every page by hand each month is a chore that slips. A muse takes the schedule instead. You name the pages and the facts on each one that can change: prices, plan names, opening hours, deadlines, version numbers, steps in a process. Once a month it rechecks those facts against current sources and brings you a short list of what changed, page by page, line by line. Nothing on your site changes during the check. You read the flags, decide what the page should now say, and approve each edit, or make it yourself.

How to use it

  1. Pick the pages where facts age fastest: pricing pages, guides that name prices or dates, event pages, and anything readers act on.
  2. For each page, tell the muse which facts matter: "Watch the plan prices, the free tier limit, and the product name on this page."
  3. Set the cadence: "Check these pages on the first of each month and bring me only what changed."
  4. Work the flag list when it arrives. Confirm each change on the official page for that fact before you edit.
  5. Approve the edits one page at a time, and note the date checked, so you know the schedule is running.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • The list of pages to watch, with the changeable facts on each one named
  • Access to edit your own site or pages

What to watch for

  • A flag is a prompt to check, not proof. Prices and dates should be confirmed on the official source before your page changes, because roundups and old articles repeat stale numbers.
  • Some sources sit behind logins or block reading. For those, check the flagged lines by hand and tell the muse what you found.
  • Keep the watch list short and real. Fifty pages checked monthly becomes a report nobody reads. Start with the five pages your readers rely on most.
  • The muse watches and reports, you decide what your page says. Nothing should be edited on your site without your approval.
