Grab the Sign-Up Slot While You Are in a Meeting
Some sign-ups open at a fixed time and the good slots are gone in minutes. If you are stuck in a meeting when that window opens, a muse can work the sign-up site for you and grab the slots you want.
What it does
Give your muse the sign-up page and your preferences, and it fills in the booking while you are busy. One parent had conference slots opening right during a work meeting: the muse went to the school's sign-up site, picked the classes requested, and the slots came back confirmed.
How to use it
- Find the sign-up page ahead of time and note the exact time slots open.
- Write your picks in order of preference: "I want the 4:15 slot first, then 5:00."
- When the window opens, tell your muse: "Book these now."
- Ask it to send you the confirmation message so you can read it when your meeting ends.
What you need
- The sign-up link, your login details for the site if it needs an account, and a clear list of the slots you want.
- A muse that can browse the web on your behalf with permission to submit forms.
What to watch for
Fast sign-ups are a race. If the site opens late or buckles under traffic, the muse cannot beat everyone else to the slot, and it should tell you right away if it could not get yours. Be ready to step in yourself if the site asks for a texted code or a captcha it cannot pass. The muse prepares and you decide: have it forward the confirmation before your meeting ends, and double-check the times yourself once you are free.
