Give Your Muse Its Own Email Address and Its Own Logins

確認済み 2026-10-22

You can set a muse up with its own email address and its own lower level logins on the tools it works in, so it can do real work for you without ever holding the keys to your main inbox or your administrator accounts.

What it does

Connecting your own inbox and logins is the step that makes many people pause, and it is normal if that sounds like a lot of trust to hand over. There is a middle path. A muse can work from an email address of its own, created inside your email workspace the same way you would set up a new helper. You and the muse send drafts, confirmations, and items that need action through that address, while your real inbox stays separate and untouched. The same pattern works for logins. On a website, for example, the muse can sign in as its own user with editor level permission, enough to build pages and load drafts, while your account stays the only administrator and you stay the only one who can press publish. Each login can be limited to the one job it needs, and each can be taken back at any time by changing the password or removing the user.

How to use it

  1. Create a new email address for the muse inside your email workspace, with a clear name that shows it belongs to the assistant.
  2. Tell the muse which work should travel through that address, and which mail should never be sent to it.
  3. On each tool it needs, create a separate user for the muse at the lowest permission level that still does the job.
  4. Keep administrator accounts, password resets, and billing under your own login only.
  5. Review the list of its logins from time to time, and remove any it no longer needs.

What you need

  • An email workspace where you can add an address
  • Admin access on the tools where you will create its logins
  • A short list of which jobs each login is for

What to watch for

Start small. One email address and one tool is enough to learn how the pattern feels. Do not forward your whole inbox to the new address, because that quietly removes the separation you built this for. If a tool only allows one shared login, keep the muse out of it, or let it prepare work outside the tool for you to paste in. The muse works with the access you grant. You hold the master keys.
