Get the Facts That Only Exist in Photos
Some facts about a place were never written down, and the only record is photographs. A muse can study the photos of a place and answer questions about them, giving you the published figure when one exists and a labeled estimate when it does not.
What it does
Say you are choosing a resort and you need to know how deep the pool is. Pool depths are almost never published. Anyone can glance at the photos and judge: the ladder rungs, the depth markers on the wall, where the water reaches on a standing adult. If you cannot judge from a photo, or you do not have time to study many of them, that information might as well not exist. A muse can do that looking for you. It goes through the photos of the place, reads any markers or signs visible in them, and reports back: the official figure if one exists, or an estimate built from the photos, labeled as an estimate. The same approach works for other photo-only questions: whether a trail has steps, how steep a driveway looks, whether a rental's yard is fenced, how crowded a beach gets in posted pictures.
How to use it
- Name the place and the exact question: "How deep is the main pool at this resort?"
- Point the muse at the place's website or listing so it works from photos, not guesses.
- Ask it to separate what is published from what it estimated, every time.
- For anything that matters for safety or a booking decision, ask what the estimate is based on: "Which photos, and what did you see in them?"
- Save the answer with the listing, so the estimate travels with your plans and nobody mistakes it for a measured fact later.
What you need
- A muse with web access, so it can open the listing and its photos
- The name or link of the place you are asking about
- One specific question at a time; photo answers are better narrow than broad
What to watch for
- An estimate from photos is an estimate. Treat it as a hint for choosing between places, not as a measurement where depth, height, or access is a safety question.
- When the answer decides a booking, confirm with the property and let the muse draft the message.
- Photos can be old or taken at the quietest hour, so ask the muse to note how many photos it based the answer on.
- The muse prepares the picture, you decide what it is worth.
