Get Stopped Before a New Booking Clashes with a Plan You Already Have

Verified 2026-11-03

When you ask your muse to book something new, it can check the request against the reservations it can already see, stop if the new booking clashes with one of them, and ask which plan matters more before booking anything.

What it does

A booking request sounds simple: find a movie tomorrow, pick seats, book it. A dinner reservation for that evening may already be sitting in your email, made days earlier and never put on your calendar. A muse with your email and calendar connected can spot that clash while it works. Instead of booking over your existing plan, it names the reservation and the time, and asks which one should win. Once you choose, it carries on: finding a screening that fits, picking seats together in the middle, and taking it up to the login and payment step, where you finish it yourself. Nothing is booked in silence, and an old plan is never pushed aside for a new one.

How to use it

  1. Connect the email account where your booking confirmations land, and connect your calendar.
  2. Ask for the new booking in plain words, with the day and rough time: "Book two seats for a movie tomorrow evening, center seats if you can."
  3. If the muse flags a clash, read both plans side-by-side: the existing reservation and the booking it is proposing.
  4. Say which plan wins. If the old plan wins, ask for another day or time instead.
  5. Check the final details: date, start time, seats, and total. Finish the login and payment step yourself when the muse hands it over.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • Your email connected, so reservation confirmations are visible
  • Your calendar connected
  • A booking the muse can search and prepare, such as movie tickets or a restaurant table

What to watch for

  • The check only covers what the muse can see. A reservation made by phone, or one sitting in a different email account, will not show up, so connect the account where confirmations arrive.
  • Same day does not always mean a real clash. Two plans hours apart may fit fine. Read the times before you cancel either one.
  • Being handed the login or payment step is normal, not a failure. Some booking sites keep that step with you, and the muse prepares everything before it.
  • It is normal if a helper that reads your confirmations sounds like a lot. You choose which accounts to connect, and the booking still waits for your word.
