Get a Wind-Down Reminder Set From Your Own Sleep Pattern

確認済み 2026-11-03

Your muse can look at your recent sleep, work out when you usually go to bed, and remind you to start winding down 30 minutes before that time.

What it does

Most people do not have one bedtime. They have a work night bedtime and a weekend bedtime, and the two can be hours apart, so a fixed alarm is wrong half the week. This reminder is built from your own pattern instead. With your health data connected, the muse reads your recent nights, finds the usual bedtime for each kind of night, and sets a wind-down reminder half an hour ahead of it. When it lands, it is a prompt to wrap up what you are doing and start getting ready for bed while there is still time to do it slowly. When your schedule changes, you ask the muse to read the recent nights again and reset the times.

How to use it

  1. Connect the health app on your phone to your muse, with sleep included, and give it a few recent weeks of nights to read.
  2. Ask in plain words: "Look at my recent sleep, figure out my usual bedtime, and remind me to start winding down 30 minutes before it every night."
  3. Read back the times it found and correct them. If it merged your weekend nights into your work nights, say so and have it keep the two patterns apart.
  4. When your life changes, a new job, a vacation, a baby, tell the muse and ask it to learn the pattern again.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • A phone health app with your sleep recorded, connected to your muse
  • Enough recent nights for a pattern to show

What to watch for

  • Irregular sleep gives an irregular pattern. Shift work, travel, or a run of bad nights can leave the reminder landing at odd times until the pattern settles.
  • The reminder cannot make you sleep. It can only arrive on time. What you do in the half hour after it is your call.
  • A program learning your bedtime from your own data can feel strange, and that feeling is reasonable. You stay in charge: you can disconnect the health app, review what the muse remembers, edit or wipe that memory, and stop the reminders at any time.
  • Check the found times before you trust them. A wrong bedtime read from a few odd nights means a reminder at the wrong hour, which most people start ignoring within a week.
