Get a Weekly Check for New Local Programs You Qualify for

Verified 2026-10-28

Your muse can check official local pages weekly for newly announced services, free programs, and subsidies that fit your situation, and report only what is new or changed.

What it does

Local help is real, and easy to miss. A city opens a signup window for a free program. A new subsidy appears for a cost you already pay. A local service starts taking applications. These announcements sit on official pages almost nobody checks, so people hear about them after the window closes, or never.

A muse can run that watch on a schedule. You tell it your area and the broad facts of your situation. The muse builds a list of official sources, checks them on the day you set, and filters each new announcement against your situation. The report is short by design: what is new, who it is for, any deadline, and a link to the official page. Quiet weeks are reported as quiet.

How to use it

  1. Tell the muse your area and the kinds of help worth watching for: "I live in this area. Watch for new local services, free programs, and subsidies that could fit my household."
  2. Share the broad facts that filter the list, such as household type and the bills you want help with. Broad facts are enough; do not hand over documents or ID numbers.
  3. Ask the muse to show you its source list before the schedule starts, and correct it: add a page it missed, remove one that does not apply.
  4. Set the rhythm: "Check every Monday morning. Report only what is new or changed, with the deadline and the official link for each item."
  5. When an item fits, open the official page, check the full rules, and apply through the program's route.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • Your area, and a short list of help to watch for
  • Broad facts about your household that you are comfortable sharing

What to watch for

  • The filter is a first-pass check, not a ruling. A program office makes the final call on who qualifies, so treat a match as a lead worth checking, not a promise of help.
  • Announcements get corrected or withdrawn, which is why every step that matters happens on the official page, not inside the report.
  • If the muse keeps surfacing programs that do not fit, tighten the facts you gave it; if it misses one, add that source page to its list.
  • The muse watches and reports. You decide what to apply for.
