Get a Heads-Up About Tomorrow's Calendar Clash After You Connect

Verified 2026-10-29

Right after you connect your email and calendar, your muse reads what is coming up and warns you about a clash the next day, and it explains the security alerts the connection itself caused, so you do not mistake them for a break-in.

What it does

Connecting an agent sets off two things most people do not expect. First, the mail service sends security alerts about a new sign-in, which can look worrying. The muse can tell you plainly that those alerts came from its own connection, not from an intruder. Second, the muse looks ahead on its own: right after the connection, it can flag two events set for the same time the following evening, without being asked. That early warning is the value: a clash found the day before can be moved with a short message, while a clash found at the start time becomes an apology.

How to use it

  1. Connect your email first, then your calendar, using the accounts you actually live on.
  2. When security alerts arrive, ask the muse: "Did these alerts come from you connecting just now?" Read its answer against the time you connected.
  3. Ask for the look ahead directly: "Check tomorrow for anything that overlaps or clashes, and tell me in plain words."
  4. Pick which event matters more, and ask the muse to draft the move or the message. Approve it before anything changes.
  5. Keep the rule standing: "Warn me the day before whenever two events overlap."

What you need

  • A muse account
  • Your email connected
  • Your calendar connected
  • A few minutes right after connecting to read the first warnings

What to watch for

  • Only trust the alert explanation if the times line up. An alert about a sign-in at a time you did not connect anything should be treated as real, and checked in your account security page.
  • A clash check only sees the calendars you connected. A work calendar left unconnected can still hide a clash.
  • Moving one event in a repeating series needs care. Say clearly that only that one date should move, and check the result.
  • It is normal if warnings arriving before you ask feel odd at first. The look ahead runs only on what you connected, you can turn it off, and nothing on your calendar changes without your approval. The muse spots the clash, you decide what moves.
