Fix the Name on Your Event Ticket
A muse can fix the name on an event ticket you already bought, finding the right change process for that seller and completing it, so the ticket matches the person who will actually show up.
What it does
Tickets often end up under the wrong name. A last name changed, a name was typed wrong at checkout, or the ticket was bought for someone else. Fixing it by hand usually means hunting through a seller site for a transfer or edit option that is buried, or figuring out which support address handles name changes. A muse works that path for you. Tell it what the ticket says now and what it should say, and it finds how that seller handles name changes, follows the steps, and confirms the updated ticket. It does not need you to know who to contact or where the option hides. You give it the correct name, spelled exactly, and you approve anything that carries a fee before it goes through.
How to use it
- Find the ticket confirmation in your email and tell the muse which event it is for.
- Say exactly what needs to change: "The last name on this ticket is wrong. It should read [correct name], spelled [spell it out]."
- Let the muse find the seller's name change or transfer process and work through it.
- Ask for proof when it finishes: the updated confirmation or a screenshot showing the new name on the ticket.
- Check the updated ticket yourself against an ID the attendee will carry. Names must match at the door.
What you need
- The ticket confirmation or access to the account that holds the ticket
- The correct name, spelled letter by letter
- A few minutes to approve any change fee, if the seller charges one
What to watch for
Some tickets cannot be renamed at all. Certain sellers only allow a full transfer to a new account, and some events lock names once tickets are delivered. If a change is not allowed, the muse should tell you plainly and lay out the transfer option instead. Never guess at a spelling: one wrong letter can create the same problem you started with. If the ticket was bought for someone else, make sure that person knows the ticket now sits in their name. The muse prepares and files the change, you decide the final name.
