Enrich Leads and Manage Outreach Through Apollo

Through a Composio custom connector, a muse can search Apollo for people and companies, fill in missing details on leads, add contacts to an outreach sequence, and keep deals and tasks current, all from one chat.

What it does

Apollo is a sales database and outreach tool. Connected through Composio, the muse can search its contact database by filters such as role, company, or place, and search companies the same way. It can enrich records in bulk, filling in details for a batch of people at once, or for up to ten companies at a time by web domain. From there it can save people as prospects, create contacts and accounts, and add contacts to a sequence, or build a new one. It can create a deal, move stages, assign owners, and handle follow-up tasks. It can also look backward: search past outreach emails and their open and click activity, read recorded calls, check company news and job postings, and pull up analytics.

How to use it

1. Make a Composio account, open its Muse page, and copy your API key. The key starts with ck.
2. In a new chat, ask the muse to create a custom connector for the Composio server and open the secure credentials store. Paste the key there, never in the chat.
3. Back in the chat, ask the muse to connect Apollo. Follow the sign-in link and approve the access.
4. Start with a small search you can judge, such as ten people in one role at one kind of company.
5. Enrich a short list first and read the results before any batch runs bigger, or any contact enters a sequence.

• A free Composio account and its API key
• An Apollo account

What to watch for

• Searches and enrichment spend Apollo credits, and company search is charged per call. Check your balance first, and keep early runs small. Some features are not on free plans.
• Adding a contact to a live sequence can start real email to a real person. The muse prepares, you decide. Review every name first.
• A sent email in Apollo can mean queued, not delivered. Do not call it received until the activity record shows it.
• Enriched data can be stale or matched to the wrong person. Check a few records by hand first.
• Never paste the API key into a chat. If you do, treat it as exposed: make a new key, delete the old one, and add it through the secure store.
