End the Day with a Check-In on Tomorrow
Mornings run better when the day before ended with a plan. A muse can sit down with you at the end of each day, look at what got done, and help you pick the three things that matter most for tomorrow.
What it does
Connect the muse to your calendar and your task list. Each evening it reviews what you finished, what slipped, and what is on tomorrow's calendar, then talks it through with you: what went well, what did not, and the top three priorities for the next day. You end the day with tomorrow already decided, instead of deciding it at midnight or not at all.
How to use it
- Connect your calendar and wherever your tasks live.
- Pick a check-in time, like 8 pm, and ask the muse to start the review with you.
- Answer its two questions: what got done today, and what has to happen tomorrow.
- Let it name the three priorities, then change any that feel wrong. The muse prepares, you decide.
- Read the short list in the morning and start on number one.
What you need
- Calendar and task-list access for the muse
- Ten minutes in the evening, a few days a week at least
What to watch for
- If you skip the check-in, the priorities go stale. The habit is the feature, and the muse is just the reminder.
- It can only see the tasks you told it about. The errand in your head does not exist until you write it down somewhere the muse can see.
- If the routine feels like a chore after a week, cut it to twice a week. A lighter habit you keep beats a daily one you quit.
