Connect Your Shop Account So Your Muse Can Reorder and Track Your Orders
You can connect your Shop account to your muse, so it can search Shopify stores knowing your shopping history, reorder things you bought before, track orders, and prepare a checkout that waits for your approval.
What it does
A Shop account holds your addresses, saved Shop Pay card, and past orders. Connect it through the Shop skill, and searches use your Shop personalization. The muse can reorder a past purchase, track an order after it ships, and read a store's return policy before you commit. When it finds what you want, it prepares the checkout with your details filled in and stops. By default you approve every order before any money moves. You can turn on an optional setting that lets an agent pay within a budget you set, weekly, monthly, or total, and turn it off anytime. The muse sees your card brand and last four digits, never the full number. Shop Pay works in your muse for stores on Shopify.
How to use it
- Follow the prompts in your muse to connect your Shop account.
- Sign in only on Shop's own authorization screen when the link opens in your browser. Never give a passkey or a verification code to your muse.
- Ask for something you bought before, by name, and let the muse prepare it.
- Read the approval in full: the store, the items, taxes, shipping, the total, and the return policy.
- Keep approval on for every order while you learn the flow. Consider the budget setting only after a few orders have come through exactly right.
What you need
- A muse account
- A Shop account, with Shop Pay and a saved card set up
- A product sold by a store on Shopify
- The Shop app, to manage the optional budget setting under Account, then Connections
What to watch for
- A purchase made inside the permissions you granted is still your purchase, even when the muse misreads what you meant. Approval on every order is the guard that matters, so leave it on.
- When an agent orders, it accepts the store's shipping, refund, and return policies for that order. Read them on the approval, especially for anything you might send back.
- Disconnecting stops new access, but it does not delete information already shared during orders you approved.
- What the muse can do varies by store, payment method, and order. If a checkout cannot be finished in the chat, the muse hands you the prepared order to finish.
