Connect Your Muse to Your Home Network with Muse Home Link

Verified 2026-11-04

Muse Home Link is a small USB-C device that joins your home Wi-Fi so your muse, which runs in the cloud, can reach compatible devices in your home.

What it does

Most smart home devices only talk to things on the same home network, and your muse is not on that network. Home Link is the bridge. It is a puck about the size of a large coin that plugs into USB power near your router, pairs with the Muse app over Bluetooth, and stays on your Wi-Fi. From there, your muse can reach devices through small add-ons called skills. Popular ones cover Philips Hue lights, Sonos speakers, Apple TV, Google Nest speakers, and Samsung TVs, and the bridge can also reach anything you build that offers a local connection on your network. That means asking your muse in plain words to switch on the lights or control the TV, instead of opening a separate app for each device. The device has no microphone or camera.

How to use it

  1. Go to the Muse Gadgets site and choose the option to claim a Muse Home Link, then sign in with your Muse account.
  2. When it arrives, plug it into USB power near your router.
  3. Open the Muse app, add the device under Devices, and pair over Bluetooth when the app asks.
  4. Pick your home Wi-Fi network and let it join.
  5. Add only the skills for devices you actually own, one at a time, and test each with a small request before relying on it.

What you need

  • An active Muse subscription in the United States, limited to one per subscriber
  • A home Wi-Fi network and a USB power source near the router
  • A phone with the Muse app for pairing
  • Compatible home devices, if you want it to control anything

What to watch for

  • Claiming a device holds your place in line. It is not an order, and the claim page shows when yours is ready to ship.
  • The skills are written by the community, not by the maker of your lights or TV, and they can change or break. Keep the original apps installed as a backup.
  • Never rely on this for anything safety-critical, such as home security, emergencies, or medical needs. Use it for lights, speakers, and screens.
  • It is normal if an agent reaching your living room devices sounds strange. You choose which skills to add, you can remove one at any time, and unplugging the puck ends the connection at once.
