Clear Your Messenger Chats With a Triage List
You can connect Messenger to your muse so it can read your chats, list who has been waiting longest, sort questions from plain chat, and draft replies that wait for your approval.
What it does
Connected, the muse turns a chat list you dread into a short list you can clear in one sitting. Ask who is waiting and it lists unread chats in order, one line each on what the person wants. Ask it to sort and it groups chats into price questions, order questions, meeting times, availability questions, and plain chat, and tells you what was asked, what you answered, and what is still open. Tell it how you sound and it drafts replies in your voice. It can also find a chat you cannot find, such as the one where someone agreed a meeting time or sent an address, because it reads for meaning, not exact words.
How to use it
- Check that your Facebook account is in the same Accounts Center as your Meta account. Messenger runs on that account.
- Open the muse app and go to Settings, then Connectors.
- Select Connect next to Messenger and read the permission screen before you approve it.
- Set approvals so no message is sent without your tap. To be careful, start with read-only access for the first week.
- Decide which chats stay yours alone, such as complaints and personal messages, and tell the muse in plain words.
- Test with a small ask: list your five most recent unread chats, one line each on what the person wants. Check it against the app.
What you need
- A muse account, with access in the US, Canada, Japan, or Singapore
- A Messenger account people actually message you on
- Your Facebook account in the same Accounts Center as your Meta account
- Approvals set so every send waits for you
What to watch for
- The muse sees only the account you connected. A second profile or a Page inbox on a different account stays invisible.
- Deleted chats and vanished messages are gone. It works from what is in your chat list now.
- A draft can misread tone, and a summary can get a price or time wrong while getting the main point right. Read the original chat before approving a reply to anyone unhappy, and check anything that touches money or an order.
- Chats carry addresses, phone numbers, and personal stories. Keep a list of chats the muse never drafts for, and read every draft yourself. The muse prepares, you decide.
