Check What Your Muse Remembers About You

Verified 2026-10-09

Your muse keeps notes about you so it can be genuinely useful: your name, your preferences, the things you ask it to remember. All of that is stored in one place, and you can read it, correct it, or wipe it clean whenever you want.

What it does

A muse that remembers is a muse that saves you time. It learns how you like things done, what your routines are, and which details you always repeat. None of this is hidden. There is a settings area where everything it has stored about you is listed, and you are in charge of what stays and what goes. You can also control whether your interactions are used to improve Meta's AI models, and how often the muse must stop and ask your permission before acting.

How to use it

  1. Open your muse's settings and find the memory or personalization section.
  2. Read through the entries. Delete anything that looks wrong or anything you no longer want it to keep.
  3. Look for the switch that lets your activity be used to improve AI models. It is on by default, so turn it off if you would rather it stayed off.
  4. Check the permissions defaults. "Ask for some actions" is the standard middle setting. Set it to ask before anything meaningful: sending, buying, deleting, or changing an account.
  5. Make this a monthly habit. Five minutes, once a month, keeps the stored memory honest.

What you need

  • A muse account and a few minutes in the settings area
  • That is it. No purchases, no connections, nothing to install

What to watch for

  • It is normal if the idea of a device remembering things feels strange at first. The antidote is simple: look at what it has, and you decide what stays.
  • Memory can be wrong. If you told it something once and it recorded it slightly off, it will keep acting on the wrong version until you fix it. Correcting it is faster than fighting it.
  • The muse only remembers what you told it or let it see. If it knows something that surprises you, that is a sign to tighten which accounts you connected and what permissions you granted.
  • Reviewing your settings does not change what other people see. Your stored memory is yours alone; it is not shared with other muses or posted anywhere.
