Check Crypto Prices and Wallet Balances Through Coinbase
Through a Composio custom connector, a muse can check live Coinbase prices, review recent price moves and order books, and list the wallets and balances on your Coinbase account, all in plain words.
What it does
Coin prices move while you are busy, and opening an exchange app to check each one takes time. Connecting Coinbase through Composio gives the muse two kinds of tools. The first is market reading: current prices for a named trading pair, the order book of bids and asks, past price data and 24-hour figures, and recent public trades. The second is account reading: showing your wallet balances, listing every wallet you own, and showing wallets added recently. Ask in ordinary sentences and the muse reports the figures in the chat. This is a reading route. It does not place trades.
How to use it
- Make a Composio account, open its Muse page, and copy your API key. The key starts with ck.
- In a new chat, ask the muse to create a custom connector for the Composio server and open the secure credentials store. Paste the key there, never in the chat.
- Back in the chat, ask the muse to connect Coinbase. Follow the sign-in link, sign in, and approve the access. Check the connection shows as active in the dashboard.
- Start with a public price check, such as the current price of one named coin, and compare it with the Coinbase app.
- Then ask for account reads, such as listing your wallets or showing your balances, and check the first report against your account before you rely on it.
What you need
- A Muse account that can add custom connectors
- A free Composio account and its API key
- A Coinbase account you sign in with yourself during setup
What to watch for
- Prices move by the minute. A figure in a chat is the price at the moment it was pulled, not a promise about the price when you act. Pull a fresh figure before any decision.
- Never paste the API key into a chat. If you do, treat it as exposed: make a new key in the Composio dashboard, delete the old one, and add the new key through the secure store.
- A balance report is information, not advice. The muse can show what you hold and how a price has moved. Whether to buy, sell, or hold stays your call.
- If you connect more than one Coinbase account, name the one to use in each request so balances never get mixed.
