Check and Run Your Netlify Sites, Builds, and Deploys Through Your Muse

Through an AnythingMCP custom connector, your muse can look after your Netlify websites from a chat: which version is live, whether the last build failed, and what your site forms collected, with builds and rollbacks only after you agree.

What it does

The connector adds 23 tools. The muse can list your teams and sites, read one site in full, and list its deploys and builds with the error text when one failed. It can list the small programs that run on a site, its forms and the messages visitors sent through them, the names of its settings variables without secret values, and the address records for domains on Netlify DNS. It can also start a build, publish an earlier deploy again, roll the live site back one version, stop a build still running, and pause or resume automatic publishing. Each change is named first and waits for your yes.

How to use it

1. Start an AnythingMCP account and add the Netlify connector.
2. In Netlify, open User settings, then Applications, then Personal access tokens, and create a token.
3. Paste the token into the connector, without the word Bearer.
4. In Muse, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the MCP server address AnythingMCP gives you. Sign in and approve.
5. Start with a read: ask which sites had a failed deploy this week.
6. If a new version broke something, ask for a rollback and check which deploy will go live first.

What you need

• A Muse account that can add custom connectors
• An AnythingMCP account with the Netlify connector added
• A Netlify account and a personal access token

What to watch for

• A Netlify token carries your full rights on every team you belong to, and Netlify offers no read-only token. For a read-only setup, switch the write tools off, and share the server only with people who may publish your sites.
• A production build goes live when it succeeds and uses your build minutes, unless automatic publishing is paused.
• Two tools come switched off at install: reading the plain value of a settings variable, and deleting a form submission for good.
• Form submissions hold what visitors typed, often names and emails. Treat them like private mail.
• The connector cannot create or delete sites, upload files, edit variables or address records, or show visitor statistics.
• This is a custom connector, and Meta does not review custom connectors. You can disconnect it in Settings at any time. The muse prepares, you decide.
