Catch the Calendar Entry You Put on the Wrong Day

確認済み 2026-10-22

Everyone has typed an event onto the wrong day and found out by missing it. A muse can check calendar entries against the schedule they came from, flag the ones that do not match, and clean up duplicates.

What it does

Most wrong entries are honest mistakes: a game, a meeting, or a deadline copied from a website or a message and placed one day off. The entry looks fine sitting on the calendar, so nothing warns you. A muse can do the dull cross-check a person rarely does. It takes each entry copied from an outside schedule, such as a team schedule, class page, or venue listing, and compares the date and time on your calendar with the source. When the two disagree, it flags the mismatch and tells you which side it believes, with the source, so you can fix the entry before the day arrives. In the same pass it can spot duplicates, the same event added twice from two messages, and remove the extra copy once you approve. After the cleanup, a short daily note of what is coming up gives you one more chance to spot anything off.

How to use it

  1. Connect your calendar to the muse and tell it which calendars to check.
  2. Point it at the sources: "These entries come from the schedule pages and messages I save. Compare each entry's date and time against its source."
  3. Ask for a report first: "List every entry that does not match its source, and every duplicate, before you change anything."
  4. Review the list, confirm which entries are wrong, and let the muse fix those and delete the extra copies.
  5. Make it a habit: "Run this check once a week, and send me a short morning note with what is on today."

What you need

  • A calendar account connected to the muse
  • Access to the schedule pages, messages, or files your entries came from

What to watch for

  • The source can be the wrong side. Schedules change, and an old page may hold last season's dates. The muse shows you both sides so you decide.
  • Entries typed from memory have no source to check against. The muse can flag duplicates and odd times, but it cannot prove a date with nothing to compare.
  • Time zones cause quiet mismatches on travel entries. Check both sides use the same zone before calling an entry wrong.
  • Start with the report, not automatic fixes. Once the checks prove reliable, you can let it fix clear duplicates on its own.
