Build a Profit Checker for Delivery Offers

Verified 2026-10-22

A muse can build you a small profit checker for delivery work. You type in what an offer really involves, and the checker shows what the offer pays per hour after your driving costs, so you can see whether it clears your minimum before you accept it.

What it does

The number a delivery app flashes is the gross payout. It is not what you keep. Miles back empty still burn fuel, and minutes waiting at a pickup are still your minutes. The checker does the full math in one pass. You enter the total payout with tips included, the entire distance including the empty return, the total minutes including waiting, your all-in vehicle cost per mile, tolls or parking, and the lowest net pay per hour you will accept. It returns your net pay per hour, your net earnings, your net pay per mile, and the operating cost, with the math shown. The verdict is judged against your own minimum, and an offer just under it, within two dollars an hour, is flagged as borderline rather than a flat no. A short, small offer nearby can beat a large, far one.

How to use it

  1. Tell the muse the job in plain words: "Build me a small checker for delivery offers. I enter the payout, all miles including the drive back empty, all minutes including waiting, my cost per mile, and tolls. Show net pay per hour and whether it meets my minimum."
  2. Work out your all-in cost per mile first: fuel, upkeep, tires, and wear in one number. Ask the muse to help estimate it.
  3. Set your minimum net pay per hour.
  4. Test the checker with three made-up offers before you trust it, and check the math by hand once.
  5. Run each real offer through it before you accept, and update your cost per mile when fuel prices move.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • Your all-in vehicle cost per mile, as one combined figure
  • The minimum net pay per hour you will accept
  • The offer details from your driver app: payout, distance, and time

What to watch for

  • Honest inputs decide everything. Leave out the empty return miles or the waiting minutes and the verdict flatters the offer.
  • Keep the vehicle cost as one combined number. Adding fuel on top double counts it.
  • The checker judges pay, not the whole job. It cannot weigh traffic or how tired you are.
  • The muse builds the tool and runs the math, you decide which offers to take.
